Dog-friendly stays in Bibury
All three of our cottages welcome well-behaved dogs, which is not easy to find in Bibury, where a lot of the village's holiday lets still don't allow pets. So bring them along. Bibury is one of the best places in the Cotswolds to explore on four legs.

Flat, gentle, with water access for swimming dogs. Mostly off-lead once past the village centre. The path follows the river through water meadows and is beautiful in every season. Start from Riverside Cottage's front door.
Open farmland with wide views across the valley. Dogs must be on leads near livestock. The New Inn at Coln St Aldwyns welcomes dogs in the bar, so you can make a pub lunch the destination.
Quiet country lanes with wide verges, good for dogs who prefer road walks to muddy fields. The Village Pub in Barnsley allows dogs in the garden and serves excellent food.
A shorter stroll through the heart of the village. Dogs on leads past Arlington Row (it can be busy with visitors), then onto the path beside the trout farm. Good for a morning wander before breakfast.

Dogs welcome inside. Bibury's village pub, a short walk from all three cottages.
Dogs welcome in certain areas. A more formal setting, right on the river.
Dogs welcome in the bar. A lovely destination at the end of the Coln St Aldwyns walk, about 25 minutes on foot.
Practical information
- Cirencester has several veterinary practices, approximately 15 minutes' drive from Bibury. Cirencester Vets (Castle Street) and Clockhouse Veterinary Hospital are the nearest.
- Water bowls are available at the cottage.
- Please keep dogs off furniture and beds.
- A small additional cleaning fee may apply. Check the listing for current details.
- The River Coln is shallow and safe for dogs who enjoy a paddle. Deeper pools exist downstream, so keep an eye on smaller dogs.
